Default NRHS or Hammer performance???

So in the process of saving some dough to go big bore (98"),and port the heads on my 2000 fxdwg,I thought I was going to go with NRHS till I read some things about Hammer.Namely that he was there head porter and they have parted ways. Anybody have work done by either of these cats? Pros, cons? Thx...

I bought a 1250 kit from NRHS for my Sportster and after having a reputable shop install it my Sportster used a quart of oil every 500 miles. Others on the XL forums had the same problem and NRHS refused to do anything blaming it on Harley's design. I ended up trading the Sportster because I got sick of hauling oil around with me to fill it back up. Afterwards they supposedly solved the problem by finding that the rings in the kit were the problem.
I would never buy anything from them again. If they had owned up to the problem and solved it in a timely manner I would understand but they handled it shitty.
