Default Do I have the 1250?

Picked up a 95 883 sportster from my father. The guy he purchased it from said it has the 1250 conversion in it already... Sorry for my lack of knowledge but is there any way that I can see if this holds true?

I suggest you will get a better response to your query if you post in the Sportster section. If your bike does indeed have a 1250 kit it will probably go like the wind! The firms who make them include NRHS and Hammer, both of whom have their fans in HDF, so hopefully you'll get some useful info over there.

If you have the 12XX kit, there'll be distinct markings on the jugs. Also, does the original owner have documentation? Maybe it's just me, but I always retain paperwork for any type of major upgrade/enhancement...especially something of this caliber. Anyone can "say" they did something...back-up/proof will confirm.

most 1250 XL kits (ours anyway) use the stock cylinders bored to 3.560".if yours dose use stock cylinders, you`ll have to pop the head off & measure the bore
