Angry *%#@^king Oil Pressure Sensor!

Trying to install an oil pressure gauge on my 04 FXD. I figure since this is an older bike (albeit really low miles), I want to keep tabs on the oil pressure, especially given the well-known cam chain tensioner shoe issue. Plus, I think it looks cool.

Anyway, the damn sensor must have been gorilla tightened during assembly because it appeared stripped before I ever tog to it and the previous owner never touched the motor. I have a 15/16" open/box end wrench and a crow foot, but this damn thing is not budging. I'm guessing vice grips are my only hope. Frustrating...

theres a special socket for that, but vice grips will work if your not worried about salvaging it

Best to run the bike to full warm before trying to get those out...

Warming the motor...damn. Never thought of that. I had the 15/16" crow foot recommended by the service manual, but the bolt was too rounded. The back and forth rocking action worked though.

Nevertheless, the gauge is on. I replaced the cheesy Moco plastic hose with copper tubing and slid the black cover over it. The copper allows me to route the hose better too.

I should have had the adapter powdercoated with my other parts. I'll paint it with black fingernail polish and dress it up.

Thanks for the suggestions.
