Looking to get 11.5 black Heavy Duty 444 or 440 Progressives. The 444 are brand new model of the 440 with some new damping technology. I found them both for around $450 with 440's $20 cheaper.
Only thing I'm not sure about is how the 444 spring goes all the way down to the bottom and it looks like the black for the top is flat black not gloss.
I'm bout 230 and do 2up riding here and there so that's why I'm getting the heavy duty model.
If your going to spend that much cash, I would invest in some shocks that were custom made for your weight...such as ricors, works, or ohlins. That's a lot of cash to pay for something that is going to be just a little better then stock.
Ohlins, or the new JRI's.... $600-ish for the entry level of the these brands and will be much better than the chinese progressives. The good brands are rebuildable and customizable to your ride.
I have 13" JRI's on order. Pulled off progressive 412's that sucked monkey butt.
There should be a pretty big difference in ride from 412 to the 440 & 444 series. I know there are better brands but $450 to $600+ is a big difference.
I'm pretty happy with the stock ones I just want to drop them a bit, black them out, and have a little better ride.
.....I haven't done much research in the better brands cause they are pricier than the progressives, but I'm going to look at them.
Damn man I like those a lot. I think I'm going to save my money and get those. Does heavy duty or standard models apply to works and the other top end models?
