Default Motor mounts
How can you tell if you need new motor mounts. At the end of last season [ NY] the bike started to feel different [hard to explain]. And am wondering if I need new mounts or to put the spacers in.

Do a visual, you can see if there gone, also maybe there just need to be retorqued

I know that sometimes mine feels very different when it is really cold out. The cold stiffens the rubber.

Just replaced my front mount because the vibrations had increased, very smooth now. If your front isolator has collasped it will have no gap on top, the metal part of the mount will make contact with the frame. Don't know about the rear one. Do a search on "front isolator" Lots of info.

You can replace it, you can shim it or try to shave it to get clearance.
Many, many threads on here about it.
HD even put out a bulletin about it.
