Had a 2" on the old bob and it is just right. Lift the tank and bolt it on. The 3" you will need to change the crossover line since it is not long enough for the distance a 3" lift creates. Plus I think the 3" lift the tank to much JMO.... Welcome back and thank you for your service.
If you find yourself north of Jacksonville up in the South Georgia area, give me a holler. I'll show you all of the swamp roads and good riding we have around here.
Thanks guys. And SLV, I'll shoot you a message when I'm heading up there. Don't know how much time I'll have to ride around there, but we'll see.
What do you guys think about the 2" vs 3" tank lift from DK Custom? I'm thinking just going with the 2, but I'm not sure. Would I have a problem with the 3" after switching the bars out?
The 2" is most popular, then the 2.5", the 3" really is a radical lift. All depends on what look you are going for.
With the bars you are putting on, you should not have any clearance issues, no matter what size, unless you adjust them back quite a bit toward you.
We include a vacuum line and fuel line with every tank lift...they don't all need them (depends on how they were cut at the factory), but they are there in case you do need them.
