Could anybody tell me if I would put mini ape-hanger handlebars on my 2012 Dyna Super Glide bike would the cables reach? I had a 2012 Sportster and wanted to replace the bar to mini ape-hanger and was told that all the cables would need to be replaced; at a cost of $800 - $1,000 bucks!
Thanks

Reason: Information
I also have a 2" tank lift. Best cheapest extra you can buy, just sets the bike off and allows better air flow to the rear cylinder, and makes cleaning easier,
The mini-apes are not that much taller than the stock bars....I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think you would have to change cables given how much slack there is.
I put wide glide mini apes on my 2011 and I need longer throttle cables and the brake line was tight but worked. I just got the street bob cables and it was easy.
I had 16" apes installed from new. I still have the mini apes (chrome), hoses and cables. If you are interested, we can make a deal Send me a PM. They are a month old.
I can't answer about the wiring, but worst case, you can buy an extension from HD. That's all they did to mine.
to answer your question, you should have enough cable length. I had put on 16 inch apes and there was enough for the electrical but your gonna have get new brake and clutch as well as throttle cables.
before I installed my 18"apes on my 2011 FXDC, I had 4 1/2 inch risers with 1" pullback. All cables and wires were long enough. Don't know what size apes you are talking about, but stock cables are good for probably 6 inches over stock. Remember.. stock bars have more pull back than most apes, so you pick up a little room there.
