Another Winter Mods Thread - *Pic Heavy*
I learned quite a lot by doing this all myself. I've never torn into a bike this deep before, and was a little apprehensive, especially when it came to the forks. With the help of this forum, and a couple of YouTube videos, I was able to do it all.
Added Parts: Vindikta Bars, Solo Luggage rack, and fog lights.
Black Powder-coat parts list (60% gloss):
Fork Lowers (inc. caps and dust covers), Triple Trees (inc. riser caps steering nut cover), 4 signal housings, levers, signal relocation kits front and rear, Fog light housings and clamps, headlight perch.
And since he gave me such a good price, I decided to do both fenders in flat black.
Total cost - $225 - and they came out great.

Here's the tear-down:

And the rebuild:

Here are some (almost) final pics:
I mounted the switch for these right under the left side of my seat instead of up on the bars. I just didn't like the way the switch looked where they tell you to install it. These are very bright and should help with the deer on the twisties at twilight.

Loving these bars!

I still have to paint my tail light, and build my quick-detach saddlebag brackets, and a few other odds and ends.
I did have some wiring issues when I was done, but just took my time and fixed them each one at a time. Maybe I'll post details in another thread, because there are some interesting things I learned there as well. Or if anyone has any questions about any part of this, I'd be happy to help.
I don't mind saying that I feel very accomplished right now

What do you guys think?
