i like toastman's methods... will keep it in mind when i swap my side mount plate for one other than my HD one...
are those the sticky-back bases that you run a zip tie through? IT geeks use those... I know...
yeah i vaguely remember getting them from like an IT/office supply website which is why they were so much cheaper than the $19 from amazon someone else quoted.
Toastman I am digging those tabs, where'd you find them at?
You can pick this things up at Lowe's Hardware, True Value, Home Depot or just about any other hardware store, they are usually in the same isle as the wire nuts, zip ties and other electrical supplies.
10 pack at Lowes. $1.99

I believe Panduit and Betts makes them. They are very sturdy. Been doing electrical work all my life and still don't know the proper name for them. We always called them "Stickybacks".
I ran my wiring under the swingarm. I loosened up the belt guard a little, tucked the wiring between the guard and the swingarm and then tightened it up. Pops out right at the end of the guard and goes straight up and under the seat. Holds it in place and keeps it out of view. Radio Shack also has those stick-on wire mounts.
