I wouldn't describe the change as huge! It is 32/30ths better, or around 7%. By making that change you get 7% increased torque at the rear wheel, which gives improved getaways and roll-on acceleration in all gears. On the highway the bike will be running 7% more revs at any given road speed. So if you like to run along at say 2,500rpm, then to stay at the same road speed you will need to ride at 2,667rpm.
I changed my Dyna from a 25T compensator to a 21T, which gave changes of 19%. Now that IS huge!
Hope that helps.
I think 32 going to 30 is a 6.25% change (The difference between the two gears divided by the gear you started with). From my experience a 5% change is detectable by riding, 4% and less gets hard to detect, more like a power of suggestion difference. Everybody has their own idea of what huge change is. My ***** for example is HUGE. For a 6 speed bike I think it's a worthwhile mod.

To answer the op's question you should have plenty of adjustment left, the axle will just be moved back a little.
I would suggest doing the '06 70t rear pulley while you're at it, then the overall difference will be huge. Imo on a 6 speed bike you need at least 30 front 70 rear (3.15:1) to make the bike at all enjoyable. I'm running that with an '07-up belt which pulls the axle about an inch forward from stock. You need slightly longer adjuster bolts to do this.
The rpm on the highway is not an issue at all. I like the bike to cruise at 3k+ I'd gear it even more (3.37) if it was easier with a belt. That's why mine is getting a chain this winter. Don't fear the gear.
83595-11 is the pulley, you will need the 5 sealing bolts and a couple gaskets unless you reuse them.
I got the socket off of ebay for $60.I'll have about $200 in it ,not bad if it is as noticeable as people say .I'm doing a 107 kit at the same time though so I wont really have a good opinion how how much of a difference it made.
