Thanks Donnie!
I appreciate your time! For some reason, the seller is measuring from the bottom of the lower tree to the axle...making it harder than it has to be! So, I "guesstimate" 8 inches bottom of trees to the top of trees puts it at 32 inches overall, and with 3 degrees of rake, that will even out, as the additional rake will lower the front end down. Now, I just have to figure out the fork stop situation....seems to be according to the other poster on here....(something) R, that they fit right on to a DYNA, but no fork stops, so you have to go with external stops, the little posts on both sides that stick up 1.5 inches and touch the frame limiting fork side to side travel.

Joe -
Assuming the big parts fit OK, you got two potential issues at the head end. First one you have identified - the external stops. If a hole (5/16) is drilled and tapped on each side of the bottom tree, you can get a chrome cap bolt and run it thru a 1" chrome spacer. If carefully placed, the chrome spacer will hit the built in head stop at the right point in in the rotation. Of course this only can be done if the lower tree is shaped to support the holes. Don't let the head swing so far as to allow the top tree to hit the tank.

The second potential issue is that the stem may not have a groove that supports the fork lock. In this case you'll need to take the new stem to a good machine shop. Of course you're already at the shop to get the holes drilled in the right locations!

The wheel end has a whole set of issues as well. Keep in mide that the 05 SG has a 1" axle - not sure what the new kit will have. All kinds of spacers involved for wheel and fender.

If my description sux - I can send a pic - but won't be home for a few days.
