Default how lean

everyone says you are going to run lean if you change the exhaust or air filter but the ecm can adjust does anyone have any numbers on how much it changes the afr when you change either of these items or when you change both I know there are alot of different set ups out there and they are all different but maybe someone could come up with some kind of a average for these changes and help us out

If you you one or the other the ECM will adjust back to it's original lean condition.

What are you trying to accomplish?

trying to find out how much fuel you have to ad to compensate for these changes if you change a air cleaner how much fuel needs to be added to go back to your original afr same for the exhaust how much needs to be added to go back to the original setting

thanks bmyers ,went back and read nightrider again and found what I was looking for acording to nightrider changeing exhaust and air cleaner would only change the afr .3or.4 so there would be no problem for the ecm to keep up. running the xied with the 13.8 ratio whould change to 14.1 or 14.2 allowing a little bit for error it would still be running at a good afr and not be lean and should still get decent milage. thanks again

You are welcome. I am running V&H slip ons, Screamin Eagle AC and VIED's (only using VIED's because I got a sweet deal on ebay). Runs good, decent mileage and minimal popping
