I love the clunk. That's how you can tell for sure it's a Harley on not a rice burner.

I was going to ask the same question until I saw this thread as that clunk into first gear I thought was somewhat louder than it should be on my 3wk old '07 and after I had the forward controls put on last week when I got the bike back it seemed to be even louder. You all say it is just the Harley sound and I will take your word on it, butisthere a better fluid with a slightly different viscosity that may help or should I just not worry about it?

I have a 06' lowrider, I start it and let it warm up a couple of minutes, hold the clutch in for about 30 seconds and shift into first..........I don't get any clunk noise. Sometime when it's warming up I'll pull and release the clutch a few times..............try it and see if it works for you.
