Hi everyone. Well, I got a bit of a problem. Finished up relocating my front turn signals today, and found that the right side (sitting on the bike) running light is not working. The blinker works, but nogo on the running light. I verified that the right wires are in the right cavities (black in one, violet in 2, and blue in 3) so I dont think thats the issue. Well, I was going to put the bike back into the garage, and it wont start. Turns on, but no pressurizing of the fuel line. A few mintues before putting all the wiring back into the neck, it DID start. I also come to find out that the blinker in addition to the running light doesn't work. To sum up, i was working with three wires, now my turn signal doesnt work at all and my bike wont start haha. Any ideas where I should start? Or just take it to a shop before I fry something important. Thanks in advance.
I agree....check the fuses for sure...I popped my fuel pump fuse when I was replacing my turn sig switches. That's a lesson why we should always disconnect the battery negative cable 1st.
Update as promised...Well it turns out the retainer inside the blinker housing was put in wrong. Who the hell did that!? I turned the plastic retainer for the two contacts that touch the bulb 180 degrees. Works like a charm. Wrong wire contact was touching the wrong bulb contact!!
Yup, it sure did. That was an issue from a pinched wire. I got that figured out early in the game. Same time, I took care of the blinker and rear brake lights. Yeah, it was allll jacked up, haha. Today, the issue with the socket took care of the running light.
