Default Difficult and important Dyna question...

I have a hip flask full of whiskey most of the time. Nowhere to "lock it away" on my dyna, and only stowable place is in my side battery bag. Is it illegal for me to carry it on my person or in that bag while riding here in CA? And no I don't drunk drive[ride], that's just wrong.

I think if you get caught with any open booze either on your self or in a saddle bag the coppers will take it.

Time for another roll bag. Maybe down by the voltage regulator.

What about the tear drop tool box. I think I saw one in J P cycles for just under a hundred bucks.

Hell, you've got enough room under your rear fender. I'm sure you could work up a cool little slot under there for one!

Will it fit in the panel where the fuses are? I would put it in there. Who's going to take your bike apart to look?

Ok this is an awesome idea. I'm gonna go check

UPDATE: No bueno. 8oz flask won't fit in there. Doubt a 4oz would also, weird angles in that spot

In Caifornia you pretty much answered your own question, regardless of the type of vehicle you cannot have an open container of any sort of alcohol in the passenger area. On a motorcycle that pretty much covers the entire vehicle.
