Hey guys i am thinking on getting some satin black KST Kustoms Mayhem bars. 16" height on my 2000 dyna wide glide. Was wondering if anybody has ever used them or dealt with KST? pics would be great also!
another question - my father in law has a 2010 street glide. He has some take offs he offered to give me if they fit. He has a Kuryakyn High-5 Mach2 air-filter, and my bike doesnt have any rear turn signals so he offered to give me his take offs. would these fit?
Thanks man they put me in mind of the yaffe monkey bars but for half the price. And hopefully the customer service of a smaller shop that wants the business
Rear turns are 1157 bulbs vs 1156 on ours iirc. Essentially 3 wires vs 2. You may have to jimmy up some wiring. The ac I don't think will fit but just look it up and see if it covers both models.
I put my hands on these bars over the weekend down in Daytona. They look to be very good quality. The welds are very nice and the finish is great to. All materials are resourced from either the Carolina's or Georgia. It's a family owned and ran company and everything is made here in the states. I am considering his bars after talking to the guy and looking over the bars.
perfect. thanks guys. i do have the wide glide front end. i have 20" bagger apes on right now they are just too tall for me. im only 5'8". looking to get 16"s. will probably order this weekend
I think the bar looks great as long as you have wideglide front end, it looks kind of wide to me.
I asked about this when I talked to the KST owner. I mentioned that I have the mid glide front end and that its around 9" wide. He told me he could make the standard bend bars at 10" wide and no thinner because of the bend starts and the step down plugs into the bar. This would be a modification to the stock bars at build time, but because its on a removal of material and no "custom" bending (doesn't change his CNC programming), there wouldn't be any extra charge to make the narrower.
so do yall like the bent bagger apes look on a dyna or do u like the straight up bars? i kinda like it, seems like it brings the bars closer to me but then still has the vertical look. my hands are up over my eyes right now and they dont go to sleep when on my sportster i had 16" vintage apes straight up and they would go to sleep in the first 10 minutes.
