his buddies problem could be incorrectly adjusted throttle cables (this is a terribly dirty trick to play on friends with fast bikes.

If you ride alone, like I do, I find that my 96" rocker with a similar stage 1 with a cobra efi controller runs PERFECT and I have plenty of power. I also still have all the money that I could spend on internal engine mods, but from what I read on here from alot of folks who have had the experience of doing big engine builds and have it turn out bad and some REAL bad with engine failures that the vendors don't stand behind...Ride safe.

Just curious, what are you doing to the crank? Weld crank or something? Lefty bearing?

Yep. Double lefty, weld, balance, plug, true, and competition rods. I spun a writs pin bushing in the rod and effin HD made them non serviceable so I have to pull the crank for a stupid bushing in a motor that was running great!

Pic heavy crank tear down tool shed crank job.

Sorry to hijack this thread, now my question is, if I ever do a 107 and head work, is the stock crank and bearing gonna take it? I really don't plan on doing major crank work, if that is the case, I stick with cams and leave it as is lol.

After the cams went in, WOW. I put the SE255 cams in and noticed one HELL of a difference. Kicked a 103 Wide Glide as well! May just be the new 103 that has lack of power!
It was a major difference!

Ha, just kidding. This is all good info.
I still am curious tho, which of you out there who have done cams actually felt a significant acceleration difference? Or was it mostly just higher dyno numbers? Maybe that doesnt make sense...

I agree with doing the crank. If I'm going to put that much work and $$ I.will do the crank.and bearings just to be on the safe side.
