Bluetooth Commuication
I worked in general aviation avionics for many years but I have been out of that field since 2001. Wind noise was a big problem with aviation headsets. Headsets had to be big and expensive to work clearly in a Cessna 172. How does wind noise factor into audio quality on a motorcycle?
I just bought my first Harley! Yay for me. It's an '07 Electra Glide Ultra and it didn't come with any headsets for the communication and CB built in. I wear a half helmet when the weather permits as well as my passenger. Is there a headset of reasonable cost and quality that can go from one helmet to another (half helmet to full face)? And also, is there a way to convert the hardwired communication to bluetooth? I don't want to spend a ton of money experimenting.........just don't have a clue where to start first. Lovin my Harley!
Skinman- the wind noise can be a factor with the SENA if you have strong cross winds (as we do where I live). I have found the leather cover use on avation headsets work GREAT in eliminating this.
