If it's not tuned properly, it will run lean which will cause it to run hot which=damage.

No. I've done it on several occasions on this subject on this forum. Three things...

1. The OP should use the search function. Its a very common question and knowledgeable people who have contributed previously won't bother saying it all again in a new thread, so the replies will be mostly from nubs and the ill-informed.

2. People simply don't believe those who have actually worked with this stuff and know what they are talking about. They would rather believe those who regurgitate out-of-date and wrong stuff. But that's the internet for you.

3. I have 'flu and so I'm not my usual cheery self.
