Ok, maybe I worded it wrong..I don't cruise at 1400...lol...There is a flat spot at 1400...hesitates at 1400...if I hold at 1400..it surges....There is no way of avoiding 1400...wish i could lol. Very noticeable on take off and between shifts at moderate throttle. Trust me..I dont cruise at 1400..more like 5400..

That makes more sense. Like Junkster said, you're probably running lean in that range. Getting a new map should fix it.

I had that problem at parking lot and a little faster speeds. The surging is caused by a fuel mismatch between cylinders. It can be tuned out.

Make sure you have no exhaust or intake leaks. This can screw up the AFR also. Hey at least you can ride year round. It s like 27 here in Iowa today.

Yeah..I checked..no leaks..I was wondering if I could go in and fine tune it myself...I'm a 25+ year auto tech so I'm familiar with AFR..just haven't played much with Harleys until now. Are you getting that storm that's going through now? Its 80's here today...

Cruising at 5400 rpm? That seems a bit high. I was doing about 2500 rpm running in 6th and 75 mph. I think 2800 was the highest I saw. Not disputing here, just asking a question based on my bike.

The PCV came with a disc. Install it on a lap top.
Read the instructions, it will tell you what you can do.
You are restricted to a point not having the auto tune, with the auto tune added you can do a lot.
