How far should my throttle rotate forward? How do I tell if my cable is stretched and needs to be replaced and should I replace both cables at the same time?

 

It shouldn't rotate past the idle position, you know when its stretched because the adjuster won't take up the slack.

You have to adjust the pull one first so wind the adjusters in on both cables, adjust the pull and the adjust the push.

You can just replace the stretched one but often adjusting them correctly can help a lot.

 

Thanks Spanners, You saved me from driving 40 mins and buying a cable. My push cable wasn't connected. I put it back on and adjusted it, no more forward movement.
