i've been worried about this too. mines been sitting outside under a cover this winter. i have a shed outback but its lifted about 2ft off the ground so ill have to build a longer less steep ramp for it. i'd also have to ride the bike through the grass across a small side hill to get it in/out of the shed.
I'm also stuck without a garage at the moment. For the past couple of summers I've used Dowco Weatherall Plus covers for both my sportster and my dyna. The covers have been great. They have held up well and keep the bikes bone dry. I think they can be had for around $80.
I have the same cover and agree. It works great. I winter my bike in my father's garage and on a battery tender, but during the riding season, I keep it in the driveway with a Dowco Weatherall Plus and it does well.

Mine is for a street bob but I'm almost thinking I purchased an XL even though their website says M should fit. I like them to be a little big so that I can pull it down over the entire bike instead of having it fit like the pictures show on their website.
The one I got was a little loose fitting stock but then I added a sissy bar and a little taller apes and it fits perfectly.
I'll check when I get home and let you know what size it is for sure.
