These covers have four magnets inside to keep the cover in-place on the tank. Just be very careful to check that these magnets have not picked up some specks of steel from your workshop/garage between uses.
I was really disappointed recently to find four large patches of scratches to the paint on my tank, looks a real mess and only a respray is going to fix it. I just couldn't figure out how it had picked up dozens of fine scratches over the winter. Then I just had the idea of checking the inside of the service cover I'd left on for the last couple of months. Sure enough, on the magnets there were small collections of steel scraps (probably from hacksawing and drilling) that the cover must have picked up when it was stored last. As the cover was removed and refitted it ground these scraps into the paintwork!
So, instead of this cover protecting my tank it has ruined it
