If you haven't done it yet, just un bolt the rear end of the tank and loosen the front, you can lift it up as high as you need to get to your injectors. This is what I did, SUPER easy.

I just lifted mine also and used a piece of 2x4 to hold the tank up. Don't take out the front bolt just loosen it. The instruction I got with mine made it easy to find the wire for tps also.

It is super easy. I just loosened the tank and stuffed arolled towl under it to prop up. It is tight in there if u have big hands, but it doable without removing the tank. The posi tap thingy is very simple to use and I wrapped the finished tap with some electrical tape just to be on the safe side. The tps is the easiest part if u ask me, as my large hands struggled with the slightly tight area where the injectors are. Btw, I absolutely love the micro and it runs the bike flawlessly.

Thank you for all the replies. One other question. Do I need to cut out a spot of the plastic coating that all the wires run through, including the TPS? Or do you tap into before the plastic coating? Thanks again.

you do need to cut a gap in the larger plastic cord, inside there are a few other wires, one of which is the tps you need to tap. You dont need to cut the tps at all. Just the thicker cord to get to it properly.

I did this about a month ago, did like most others do just lift the tank not remove it. I also did the air cleaner & once you remove your existing air cleaner you should have no issues getting at everything.

Where you unplug the TPS, follow it a few inches down where you have room and cut the sheath. There should only be 3 wires in it like Dynamite mentioned .. I didn't cut a gap, I just made one cut, either would work fine though, I just didn't want to remove anymore than I needed.

Now that you guys mention it, lifting the tank would've probably been much easier vs draining / removing. I'll have to try that next time.

This is exactly what I was thinking I'd do. Can't wait til it comes tomorrow. Got my DK Customs AC today. Me so happy.

I looked at the pic of tapping the wire on the instructions and oriented the wire tward the back of the bike and tapped in the exact same place as the pic.
