Default Tips on installing Micro Tuner

Does anyone have any tips to installing this on 09 FXD? Ordered today from FM. Going to try to do without removing tank. Any help is appreciated.

You do not need to touch the tank. This video is for fuelpak but same procedure.

That fuelpak is a different animal than the Micro Tuner. I do thank you though.

As far as I know the micro tuner is just like a power commander V but smaller, why is it different? It is the same installation procedure I believe, correct me if I am wrong.

Doesn't attach to ECM. Looks like you go in line with injectors, splice into TPS and detach O2 sensors. I am only concerned with the TPS part of it as I am not sure where to splice into it.

FM has detailed install instructions on their site. Looks like you will have to either raise or remove the fuel tank.

I am sorry, I didn't know the micro tuner doesn't attach to ecm.
No wonder why it is cheaper, good to know.

I have a 13 street bob and I had to lift the tank to get to the injectors. In the instructions there are two clip hookups on the bike for the TPS use the one already plugged in, unplug it, splice into the green and purple wire (gray and purple on the 13's), it comes with a fancy little thing that splices it and holds it in for you. Directions are really simple. If you have any questions just PM me.

I just installed mine today on a 2013 fxdb. It was pretty easy, of course draining and removing the tank was a mess. I didn't drain it all that well so I got gas all over the fooking place but after that, it went smooth.

For the posi tap, just find the correct wire on the throttle position wiring, there is little groves on the posi tap to slide it in .. no need to strip the wire, once you connect it to other half of the posi tap, it piercers through and connects it with the gray wire.

When in doubt, call Fuel Moto .. I did today, very helpful. The 2013 didn't have the gray / purple wire, it was green / gray. ( missed bensons comment )

Removing the tank makes things a lot easier to access like the fuel injectors etc.
