Windshield Question
My windshield is getting to scratched up. I was wondering if it was possible to buy new plastic for the quick detach hardware? If so where's a good place to look for replacement plastic?

Memphis Shade exact replacement windshield for your Harley hardware. Find your part number here and then do a search on ebay. There are a bunch of them at good prices with free shipping.

If your original is an HD product, Harley makes waht is called a "windshield service kit" . It is just the plastic, tape, and washers. You re-use all the "hardware"

replacement shield
Go with Clearview Shields (recurve). I did and couldn't be happier. I was able to buy a discounted shield that they said had minor defects (I couldn't find any). The price was drastically reduced and the shield bolted right up to my HD brackets. Also, I was able to move bottom bracket just below the lower triple tree (after enlarging the headlight cutout) which severely reduced the wind coming up from underneath (no more buffeting). I went with the 20" shield to help makeup for the height lost due to lowering the shield (my HD was an 18"). Because of the recurve design of the Clearview Shield, I even got better wind clearance over the top after lowering the shield about 3 inches. Oh yeah, the Clearview Shield is much sturdier than the HD Shield (much thicker).
