Go with Clearview Shields (recurve). I did and couldn't be happier. I was able to buy a discounted shield that they said had minor defects (I couldn't find any). The price was drastically reduced and the shield bolted right up to my HD brackets. Also, I was able to move bottom bracket just below the lower triple tree (after enlarging the headlight cutout) which severely reduced the wind coming up from underneath (no more buffeting). I went with the 20" shield to help makeup for the height lost due to lowering the shield (my HD was an 18"). Because of the recurve design of the Clearview Shield, I even got better wind clearance over the top after lowering the shield about 3 inches. Oh yeah, the Clearview Shield is much sturdier than the HD Shield (much thicker).Attachment 308058

Just the Plastic, but it is much thicker than the HD version and the recurve allows you to get a shorter shield and still increase coverage.
