I'm thinking on getting the GT502's for the bike. I like what I've read and though they are a bit costly, I like the fact they are wider than the Night Dragons...
Anybody know where I can get a great price? I want to replace both the front and the back...
I have GT502s front and rear. Front went on the end of last year and cost me about $140.00 for the tire online at Surdyke with shipping and another $80.00 for mounting, balancing, tube and rim strip from a local shop. Just did the rear last week. $280.00 from Surdyke with shipping, then another $80.00 for mounting, balancing, tube and rim strip at local shop.
At $580.00 for the pair, with me pulling the wheels and carrying them to the shop, I will likely go with alternatives next time.
The rear 502 has just got to high. I had 3 and the best I got was 7000 miles. I went with Avon 170/60-17. Think I will try the Avon 190/60-17 next time because I do like the wide tire look and it is less than $200.
i got 12,000 miles on my last 502 rear tire. replaced it with another one. had a flat on a long road trip with the 502,it is litterly a run flat tire. i felt it get a bit squarrley on the highway coming into San Angelo, then my brother pulled next to me a the first light in town a told me that I had a flat. I'm sold on this tire. yea there a little pricy, for me peace of mind is worth something.
