For some reason in town and it's only 60 deg power vision says bike running hot in 280 range, new to parade mode so not sure if it is setting but how do I tell if its really gettn that hot and if is why? i have the fuel moto header pro touring mufflers and power vision with fm air filter..
Your PV is showing cylinder head temperature and 280, while warm, is actually quite normal if you are sitting still for even a minute or two. The only way to keep it cooller is with an engine cooling fan such as the LeNale or Wards Parts Werks FCS.
I don't worry about running hot until the rear cylinder shuts down. This has happened only a very few times while riding in very hot weather, stop & go traffic.
Cool, But how do you tell the rear cyl. is shutting down, I can open throttle and it pings few times then sounds normal, We pulled in a place to eat and it was more closer to 300 by the power vision, Just thought that 60 deg temps should not got that hot that quick but I am not used to the 103 motor either so forgive my ignorance.. More worried whats gunna happen just driven around town when it's 100 deg out, I got the bike in sept so haven't had it out in the summer yet..
Thanks for your help guy's just wunderin if somethun could be wrong, I know Jamie makes good maps.. I would be interested in one of those fans, which one is preferable?

Believe me, you can and will tell the first time it shuts down. Keep in mind, this feature is by design, it only happens at idle and kicks back in when you accelerate. You can disable it if you wish.
Hey maybe somebody can help me with this my 07 Dyna has been doing the same thing it'll get hot and drop down to one cylinder but doesn't kick back into regular driving the way it should unless I kill it then fire it back up. But after a mile it just kicks right back in to the safety mode does anybody have any idea what may be causing this I do believe that I had some issues with my intake I started to get blow by oil in the intake and had some issues with gaskets and o-rings but I'm replacing all that right now and just wondering if maybe a sensor or something with my ECM is bad I took it in and had a tune done on it just a PV license with a bassani road rage ripper and a big sucker stage 1 but I really don't know what kind of tune was done to it the bike has less than 10,000 miles on it but is giving me more issues than any back I've ever had
