in all honesty which one looks nicer and more factory ? dog bone or strap style? theywillbe painted or powder coated flat black , i wantto make sure the edges of the metal are finished andnot rigid orbarbed in any way. i guess i could finish things out more to my liking upon delivery. that 21/4 looks good, maybe alil high for me i think im gonna go 1 1/34 -2". was there any issues with the wiring harness? i had enough of a fun time farking around getting my pc3 in i dont want to lug and tug many more wires and accidently pull stuff out plugs ..... again.
If you are looking to save a ton of cash I would suggest reading that thread and buying from forum members who have done the whole "modifying my own bike" thing before. There are alot of talented people here. R Racing, Mudpuddle, and Piniongear are some more members that come to mind who I don't believe replied to that thread.

titleAndStar(827,0,0,false,",") I've done a bunch of stuff for my old '91 FXRP (click picture in my signature to go to my FXRP site to see the mods). This "new" bike has a few things I've added/changed which are: tank lift (of course), aluminum black anodized battery cover, brackets to suck in the front turn signals, black levers (coated at work). I've also done things for friends and over the internet such as: a custom sissy bar (it'll be chromed in about 2 weeks), highway bars for a friends Sportster, saddle bag rigidizers, exhaust baffles, saddle bag supports, and a few others I can't think of right now.
I highly recommend jackyl. Nothing against rudedog, but I have dealt with jackyl and his lift kit is high quality and he runs a class act business. Can't ask for much more, imho....
Got my 2 and 1/4" lift kit 'custom made' from RudeDog and they worked great and simple installation - he was super to deal with and very helpful. It's not rocket science, but there are a couple of helpful pointers needed so I agree to go with a forum member who's 'been there, done that.' Other stuff I've seen is wicked overpriced for what you get. More pics in my gallery.
