Level ground and no speed increase I'd hit 6th at 55 ish. If you need to be close to 80, WideGlide, you sure as h#ll have a different motor than I have.

Well its a 96, what do you have? I was kind of surprised myself but shifting into 6th any lower than approx 76-78mph really lugs the engine. I can run at 75mph at 3200-3400 rpm's (where I get the best mpg's also). If I shift into 6th at the same speed the rpm's drop to about 2800-2900.

The owners manual says 55mph so that's what i do hahahaha. Sixth gear man feels like i gotta be about 65 and higher. I Don't use it that often

80+ mph just for freeway cruising. If you're in 6th and you hit those weird pockets of traffic that go from 80 to 70 to 65 to 80 again it's too much shifting. Just long-term overdrive for me.

Used 6th at 60mph all day long on my 07. Only exception strong wind or long grade.
Same on the 2013.

Good to know, after I put the cams in, 6th was better, still 65-70mph (average cruising speed for me though). I have all of the parts for the 30 tooth, just gotta git r done!
