Default DK Customs trap style pegs

So, I am thinking of buying a set of DK Customs trap style pegs. I currently have the Harley pegs with built in heel rests. My feet don't feel planted on them running the interstate. I am curious how the DK Customs will compare comfort wise. I wonder if I can run them without the heel rest kit and be happy? I am trying to avoid full blown floor boards if possible.

I have heard nothing but great things about DK but I am VERY wary about dealing with another vendor here. I have now been burnt twice. I am starting to get the feeling that only the good experiences are posted and the bad ones are edited by the Mods or people don't put them out there for fear of being banned or flamed by the happy customers. You have to admit this forum can have a "mob mentality" sometimes...I am not that hard to please and am NOWHERE near a picky customer. Give me what I pay for in a somewhat timely manner. Period...It is like it is almost too much to ask to get what you pay for...So with all that said, if you have had a bad experience with this company, please PM me. I will keep it private. I would just prefer to know before I purchase now...

I've bought twice from DK. (Tank lift; Stealth Bear Trap pedal/pegs and quick release peg pins.)

Both orders shipped quickly, communication was good, and the products are as advertised.

Specific to the pedal/peg.
I LOVE the free rotating pedals. I was unsure when I ordered but took a chance. The rotation is freedom for your feet and ankles on longer rides. Now I can't imagine not having free rotation.

The grip on the pedals is also a great feature. This is the reason I bought them. It rains a lot in Savannah and the bike is my only transport. My feet were slipping off stock pegs. These things grip very well.

I did replace them with BMX pedals and adapters from Bungking. Only one reason. The Stealth Bear Traps drag slightly on slow tight turns. I think the standard trap style pegs are just a bit shorter than the stealth bear traps like mine.

Also, the quick disconnect pins are really worth it. I can change pegs in 10 seconds if I want to use the Stealth Bear Traps or my HD mini-Footboards.

DK is a great supplier and they are always participating on the forum. They stand by their stuff and the stuff is good.

I think they'll take care of you. I emailed them on sunday about the pegs I received and got a reply the same day. There were some issues with the ones that I got but they are going to take care of it.

I understand about not wanting to get burned. That is one of the many reasons Devin & I (Kevin) started DK Custom...we could not get companies to ship what we wanted for our own bikes, so we started making our own parts....and it just sort of grew from there.

We have 3 priorities, all of equal importance-

Manufacture quality High Impact Parts
Ship quickly
Provide Superior Customer Service

We do make mistakes, and you can look around on the forum...people do post. But when we do make a mistake, we treat our Customer how we would want to be treated if we were on the receiving end of the mistake.

I think we have the size of each of our trap pegs in the description...the Bear Traps are some of our largest ones, and thus more likely to scrap in a sharp lean.

The pegs that give the best lean angle (even better than stock) are the Slip Stream and the Canyon Carvers. They both grip really well.

Feel free to write or call with any questions.

I have a set or the triple traps! My feet stick to them like fly paper! Heck I almost fell over once when I got lazy and tried to drag my foot off instead of lifting it! Kevin spoke to me on the phone after I bought them during install and five minutes later I was riding. I haven't had to fiddle with them since. You will not have a problem. I rode with stockers and I rode with kury switchblades , but neither held my foot down like these DK TT's.

FWIW I got the breather bolts, ignition/horn relocation, and tank lift from them. I couldn't be happier with the service.

The right box, I emailed them and devin immediately responded and four d out what happened Ed and how it can be fixed. The agent me the right part plus some small free gifts too. I was very pleased with their service . I tell people about them all of the time. You will have no issues with them .

I have the Bear traps and love them. They are so comfortable to ride with. I will never go back to round foot pegs. I have also gotten the tank lift from these guys for my brother in law. No issues at all with missing parts or whatnot. I just wish they sold a broader range of parts because I would order from them every time. Great company to deal with.
