I'm doing this without the kit. Does anyone that used the harley relocation kit remember what the shrink tube was like that came with it? Was it open on both ends like standard shrink tube? I saw in the instructions that it say "encapsulating" but I'm not entirely sure what that means.
It just seems weird to me that the old wires would be shrink tubed with an end left open and I can't find any shrink tubing that's enclosed on one end. Sorry if this is a stupid questions, I'm learning all this wiring crap as I go.

It is open on both ends of the shrink tube. When you heat the shrink tube, not only does it shrink the tube, but heats an adhesive inside. As the tube shrinks, the adhesive melts and encapsulates the wiring and will ooze out the end slightly, sealing the tube.
