I just compared the two fairings (HD and Conely) at San Diego HD the other day, and I thought that the Conely 1/4 retro fairing was built a lot sturdier than the HD fairing.

The Conely fairing is fiberglass, while the HD fairing is made out of ABS plastic. The HD fairing also has that cheap *** looking plastic "windshield" insert (for lack of a better word).

The Conely mounting hardware include very nice billet clamps (4 of them that mount onto the fork), and are included in the price. The HD mounting hardware is a separate purchase.

You can get either fairing in primer gray (which will drop the price of the Conely about $100).

I'm ordering a Conely in primer gray for my FXR next week when they get them in stock. Ends up being about the same price as the HD with all the mounting hardware.

The clamps aren't priced with the fairing .. at least the website says "clamps sold separately", unless for some reason that's not the case anymore.

I think I'd prefer ABS vs fiberglass.

I just wouldn't spend my money for such lousy service that I've heard people have been getting.

Let me know what that color runs you if you don't mind. Still up in the air if I want to paint match it. I don't know of any local bike shops that paint who could match the color so I'd have to ask my local dealer.

Mine should be coming in tomorrow.
