I just did it on my 06, if you check that post youll see how they look. Its a fairly straight forward mod but the service manual is highly recommended. The pvc are to replace you stock spring collar. Let me know what you need ill help you through it.

You got that right. The 12mm is for the seat pipe screw. my problem was finding a 12 mm hex socket, it seems that most tool companies only go to 10mm. What i did was i bought a 12mm hex key and cut the short end off and made it straight and then slipped a 12mm socket over the cut end. Some have found that the seat pipe screw came out easily but that wasnt my case, it was very tight and i needed an impact gun, once i used the impact it came out very easy.
If you follow the manual up till it #6 in the dissasembly, you do not need to dissasemble the lower leg. Once you have the fork cap off and the spring collar, washer and spring out then remove the seat pipe screw. In order to stop the damping rod from turning stick a broom handle into the fork tube then you will be able to take the seat pipe screw out. Once the seat pipe screw is out the damping rod and spring will come out. Now follow the progressive instructions on the lowering procedures, and the follow the manual on installation.

It wasnt that bad, once i got the right tools it was straight forward. i did change the oil, i went with a 20w fork oil. The first fork tube took 3 days, but that was the trail and error period where i was getting all the tools, the second took 30 minutes. Really it sounds alot more complicated then it is, if you are comfortable doing your own wrenching you should be fine, just take your time and follow the steps in the manual and if you get stuck just stop and ask for help. Once your done you will see it was no big deal.

I got mine from Snap On for $20 bucks but went ot Advance Auto Parts and they had a 10mm,11mm and 12mm set for $8.99
