Damn that's bright. Do mind shooting one during the day. I have a buddy that got an LED license plate frame (not the custom dynamics) and I can't see his sigs for crap during the day. I'm more interested in the one on your license plate. Thanks!!

With direct sun light in back ground, worse case for us riders.
If you go this route, I suggest oredering you fender 1/8"-1/4" narrower than the space its going to fill. The glass fender is more rigid then the sheet metal and does not like to be pulled out to the struts. I went with the 8" to fill the 8.5" gap and had to use spacers between the strut and fender to fill the space that the metal fender flexed out to.
probebly a weird question, but my hardbags are enroute currently soemwhere i tneh shippign channels. anyway could one not just heat the abs up * with a heat gun not a torch or open flame obviously* where the pocket has to go and compress a pipe or other cylinder shaped object into the soft abs to form the pocket? i dotn know much about modifying abs but i know it is formable/moldable with heat to a degree
OP,
That is awesome! I just subscribed to this thread. Hope you don't mind if I use it to do this mod on my Wide Glide. So for a quick recap... The brackets are factory HD street glide pieces, with factory HD touring bags and a custom fender. Thanks for all your R&D.

The easiest way to go is a piece of 4" ABS drainpipe from a local plumbing supply. Lowes sells a 5' piece for < $20. You end up only using about a third of the pipe (longways) so it doesn't take up much space and is just big enough to cover even touring air assist shocks.
