Default 12 Street Bob rear tyre question
Guys,

Whats the widest tyre I can fit on my 12 SB without any modifications? I know HD do a wide tyre kit but not sure what that consists of or the size you can go to?

180 on a stock 17 x 4.5 rim... also theres only a limited number of tires that will safely run on that rim... the harley dunlop and the perelli nite dragon

A 180 should be run on a 5.5 rim. The Harley S/E 180 is narrower than a regular 180. I'd get a wider rim.

Not to hijack but a buddy is thinking of getting a '12 SB and is wondering what is the widest rim tire combo that will fit in a stock swingarm.

i have a 200 on a crossbones rim on mine... trust me, theres no room for anything wider with stock swingarm and struts

Actually there are 4 180/60 17 tires that will fit the stock rim: Harley Dunlop, Harley S/E Dunlop, Harley Michelin Scorcher 31 and the Perelli Nite Dragon. I've posted this and these pics like 100 times but here you go.

Stock 160
