I did my forks 5 years ago with the Rustoleum appliance epoxy and they still look good. I did my fork trees and headlight trim ring, battery band, redid the air shocks I bought and my rear pulley cover. No one can tell it's a rattle can. If Joe was closer and I was more patient I'd hit him up for sure. One day I'm sending him my spare rocker covers to powder.

you can also send them assembled... we can do the tear down and full rebuild for you for an additonal charge. this way it is just bolt on and go!

I just finished powder coating mine gloss black. I actually bought new ones, then changed them over, but its not bad at all to tear them down and do it yourself. Not alot to it. Common sense, just take a few notes on the order the parts came out and place it back. There are a few seals that you might need a tool a for, and one that you have to pound down (not hard) to get it to see properly, but you could do it yourself for cheaper then what you mentioned, and have a tool or two after to show for it....

I can powdercoat myself, but I didn't feel like rebuilding my forks. I did the epoxy using powder joes instructions and they came out great.
