Installed the Thunder City Baffles in my SEII's yesterday. Took all of 15 minutes. Wow. Definitely much improved sound and LOUDER. Thanks to all here who recommended them.
I have had the BCT baffles for about a month now, and love them too. Great sound for the buck in my opinion. $130 for the baffles from BCT for the person that asked. I am using the Stage 1 Race flash (Cartridge) with the 25deg. injectors on my 06 wide glide. I am wondering whether it is running sufficiently rich with the new baffles. Plugs look good so far, and runs great. Anyone with some tech knowledge out there, that thinks the Race flash is ok, would be appreciated. SHOVELHEAD BOB... are you out there? You have given me great advice in the past. Thanks

Any idea why some folks have such a hard time getting their old baffles out of the SEII mufflers? Some folks talk about having to remove the mufflers and wack the baffles out with a hammer. Wonder if it's because theirs were rusted?
How old or how many miles did you have on your SEII's before removing them?

I had no problem getting my rear one out. Blew it out on the hiway two weeks after I bought the bike; at night, of course. Dealer did replace free of charge. I now check the bolts on a regular basis...
Is it really an 'improved' sound or just louder? Rumble and throaty would be good - just loud, not so good, IMHO.
Congrats on the Thunder City's. When I first put them on I almost thought they were too loud, now I'm totally happy.
On a sad note, I had a hell of a time getting the baffles out. My problem arose trying to get the mufflers off, nobody mentioned they might be riveted on[8D] Felt like a dumbass...

I have the same question as boogie.
I'm thinkin about this change, but I don't really want "louder". If it was a bit more throaty - then that would be good - but not louder.
When the engne is cold it sounds like an old dragster at a cackle fest. If you've ever been around any of the old dragsters from the sixties you'll know whatI mean. It's louder and a little throatier during acceleration but the best thing is the improved sound at idle to me.
