I put Python Slip-ons onto my '12 FXDC and am getting more decel pop now that it's getting warmer out.
I was told that a Power Commander 5 with the correct MAP would make a lot of positive change on the bike. I do not see a preset MAP of my bike (or any bike) with Python Slip-ons.
What are my options? I have used a tuner on my trucks before but I didn't get into fuel mix or anything complex and I certainly don't want to hurt the bike. I would prefer a plug and play solution like the PC5, but if it's going to involve witchcraft, I don't want to mess around with it.
as long as the slip 0ns have the same opening as the slips on pc-v site your fine. Try the reinhart or the v&h or any 2 into two most should work, just run one for a good hour unless you really hate it and see.
or the one suggested just above!
If you go purchase your PC5 from a good dealer, such as Fuel Moto, they will be able to send you a unit loaded for your bike and if there are any issues, they can send you a new map or help you tweak your current map.
I installed the micro EFI yesterday and the decel pop is gone. The install was easy however the instructions fuel moto sent and have online are grossly inaccurate and are downright wrong in some sections. I had to call them during the install and get talked through it since the directions put me on a wild goose chase looking for the wrong color wires in the wrong places.
Just a heads up for someone that finds this in a Google search.
