Default Chrome Fork Dust Covers

I picked up a new set of forks from the dealership today, and stopped by J&P to get a set of 2 piece chrome dust covers. Their the ones held in place by a spring.

I put them on one of the forks....just held it there, and it seems to me the fork tube will be sliding against the metal of the cover. The covers are just cast aluminum, but I sure as hell don't want to put any score marks in a brand new set of $680 forks.

Anyone use these? They got great reviews.

Much better idea. I don't like how the ones you picked out are attached to the forks. You can get the chrome billet ones from HD for about $65.

I really don't feel like taking apart brand new forks, plus that part got not good reviews.
