Power Vision
~
I like your logic and maybe that's because I did the same as your thinking of doing. To answer your question No I don't think you will need a dyno tune. The power vision basic AT tunes your MAP to 4500 I think or there about, but will not tune your spark advance only your MAP. Those are it's limitations. But it is enough for the majority of applications and riding styles. Once you get the Autotune kit your laughing because after three or four runs you will most likely put that contraption in it's box until you do some future mods.
I flashed the tune Brian or Jamie loaded on the PV to my bike, enabled Auto Tune, rode it 40 miles. Ran great with the tune they included. I accepted changes and loaded the new tune, ran another 40 miles, then accepted again and loaded that tune. It runs strong, gets 38mpg, and shows head temps of 250deg. I am very pleased. I will probably tune it again once or twice, then leave it. I kept all the maps I have run so far, and my original is locked in the PV when it married my bike. So far I think this is a great product for the price. I may do a dyno run just to get numbers, but not until I am done tweaking it. I'll probably add the wideband sensors later this summer to really dial it in.
