hi everyone im after some advice about my exhust, i have vanve and hines short shots on my 04 superglide, will it be ok to cut the baffles down? thanks jimi
Just take the baffles out and see how you like it. Seems like you prefer volume, so see how the bike runs. You can always put them back in. Cutting them won't do much, as those baffles are not very restrictive. To get some back pressure ou would be better off with another baffle like a BCT or another type of lollipop.

+1 nevil
Big City Thunder baffles are the $hit. Excellent deep throaty rumble, easy to install. The short shots on my 04 seem much more quiet than the straight shots that I replaced. I had BCTs on my Wide Glide and may put them in the 04 SG.
If you take them out, 1. way to loud 2. run like crap and decel pop like crazy. you wont be able to tune the carb to get away from it. try the baffles like shrug and nevil said.
I have big shots on my 2000 tc 88 with the standerd baffles plenty loud (not even close to passing), runs great.
