Default need some help

need a bit of help, i am in the process of dismantling my '11 FXDC to get some parts powder coated .. i am trying to take off the rear signal and that whole bracket im not sure how to get it off since the rear shock sits on the outside of it and i need to slide the shock out in order to get it past. if i pull the shock off the top bolt am i going to be able to get it back on? ... this is the one and only part of this process that i am unsure about and should i have the bike lifted or keeping it on the wheel locks is fine?.. so if anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it.. or if anyone has instructions from a that part they ordered on how to install that would be great thanks

It will work better if you have someone to help, but you can do it alone just take off one side at a time, put the shock back on and then the other and your done. half hour job. The shocks won't spring up on ya making it impossible to compress them or anything like that.
