Dyno tune today..........
Got my bike tuned today and gained 4 hp and 3tq over the tune that was in there . The final numbers with the mods in my sig were 85 hp and 93 tq corrected. (correction factor was .974 so the actual numbers were 2 1/2 % higher. Of course my front 30t primary sprocket lowered the #s by about 3% so numbers with the stock gearing would have been more like 87 hp and 96tq but what's in a number anyway? I could never figure that one out....... why a gearing change , which gives you a higher torque multiple at the rear wheel, would lower the dyno numbers. I would have thought it would be the other way around! Anyway, I'm extremely happy with the work my bud Randy Kelly at Leo's HD in Montreal did. He not only got the most power out of it with a nice flat tq line, he did a ton of tuning in the lower RPM range and the bike is a dream to ride at slower speeds now. The only drag of the day was riding 20 miles home in the cold rain with a nearly bald rear tire!!
