Everyone seems to have releases that you push in. Anyone else have the S&S manual release where you pull the **** out?

BTW, as others have said, no reason not to use the compression release when starting.

Default Compression Releases

I push them in as soon as I turn off the motor...If you wait till restarting, if it was a quick stop like a gas stop, they get hotter than if you go ahead and push them in when you first stop. My starter will still turn the motor over without them being used but it is a lot easier on it to use the releases.

l always push the releases hot or cold or the bike will not start.
