I have been thinking about building an fl style dyna . and one of they guys I ride with told me he missed his fxdxt and would trade me bikes or frontends if I wanted . his bike is a 2008 fxdb with 10k mine is a fxdp with 21k . I have 2 hot rod Harleys I ride around town . The dyna is my club run bike and honestly 500 miles a day on it is starting to hurt my back . if I traded bikes I would put a 16 inch mag on front and back with dresser style fenders and a batwing fairing and some hard bags . if I traded front ends I would do the same .
what are the pros and cons to front end swap vs bike swap vs leave bike alone ?
oh and I like and understand carbs , efi is not as easy to work on for me
heres my bike
my bike is faster than his bike but his does have a 6 spd . his bike is the ugliest dark blue I have ever seen but I like to paint as a hobby anyway . I do love the way my dyna looks and handles now but dang 500 miles leaves me sore
Your better off with the Fxdp put some money into the suspension and get yourself an aftermarket seat an those 500 mile rides will be easy... Just swapping bikes or front ends won't do a damn thing in ride quality your Fxdp probably rides smoother

hows your c&c fastback ?
I was thinking mustang vintage but if I had a batwing fairing it might help too don't you think or am I just dreaming
