Default Sensor behind oem intake 2013 fatbob

I'm trying to install my dk customs intake and upon removing the stock one, I found a sensor attached. I don't see where this would go on new one. Is this necessary? Is there supposed to be a cap for it? Where would it go on the new intake?

Also the piece it plugged into on the stock intake can be pulled off and used as a cap.

I guess you could, I pulled the plug off the back of the stock A/C and ziptied it out of the way.

This is what I ended up figuring out.

I gotta say, parts for American bikes come with awful instructions. I have to give props to the manufacturer's of all the parts for my ducati. They came with absolute step by step instructions for everything.

Maybe Duc owners need their hands held to install a part. Just sayin.
