I had a problem with my 05 fxdc the speedo would just cut out completely, . it turned out to be one of the tiny wee pins inside the plug inside the speedo, once I pushed it back up with a little jewelers screw driver, fixed.

I'll have to take a look at that too. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just out of curiousity, how much does this part cost in the US?
Need one for the GF's Sporty but it's going to cost £76 inc tax here in the UK.

Thanks.

Thanks RB, thats about £48 inc vat. Looks like with anything Harley, you just swap the $ for £ and you're all set but I guess there is shipping cost, landing tax etc........

Good luck with the fix man.

Well I replaced the speed sensor, and no change. Still no speedometer. Still showing the same codes. Any other ideas?

Will it let you clear the codes?

Yeah, codes are clear. I've taken it on a couple of test rides now, and still throwing no codes. Possible the speedo itself is bad?

That would be my next guess. Do you have a buddy who will let you swap speedos (did I just say that?) to check?

Ha... Worth a shot. My dad has a 2002 Road King. I wonder if that uses the same speedo. Even aftermarket speedos are gonna run me $170 at least. That's an expensive test.
