Default Speedometer Issue

I am having some speedometer issues on my 99 Dyna Wide Glide. During rides my speedometer will stop working intermittently and then eventually stop working period. When it does stop working, my canceling turn signals also stop working. The turn signals work, but they won't self cancel. I also noticed that the odometer is not advancing in mileage. I ran the diagnostics on the speedo and its registering the following codes:

D02SET
D08SET
D10SET

Any ideas on what the codes mean or how to fix these issues? I took the speed sensor out and clean the shavings off that, but still getting the issues.

Appreciate any information provided.

FXD2003Rider, thanks for the link. I noticed that is for Sportster models. Do you know if the codes are the same on the dyna models?
Thanks

Not sure about that. I'd recommend to use Google to find some more info on the codes displayed.

My 99 speedo has a tendency to not work or give the wrong speed. When it does, I pull the sensor out of the tranny and clean it of. Doesn't cost to try.

I did that. Had a lot of metal shavings on it. Not sure on the history of the bike, but it looked like that had never been done. After cleaning, still having the issues. Thanks for the reply.

Went through the same **** with mine. It worked when I first took off on a ride, then it would start messing up, then stop altogether. Same thing the next day. Cleaned it once and it worked for a couple of days, then started the same **** over again. Replaced it and no more issues.

Have one on order. I'm hoping that is will fix the issue. Thanks again!
